This one goes out to my friends- the two who are constantly on the lookout for price-savvy Balenciaga Triple S similars and the ones who absolutely hate them. These chunky and yes, ugly, sneakers seem to be at the height of trend right now. I agree that they’re far from the prettiest sneaker on the block, but I still find myself wanting a pair.
However, I’m not going to pay close to $1k for a pair of shoes that will be out of trend within the next few seasons. So I scoured the internet for a few pairs under $100 that are wonderfully marshmallow looking!
First up: Sketchers
Who knew the sneaker brand from your childhood would be making a comeback? Can’t you picture Kendall Jenner in the ribbon threaded white D’Lites with her teeny tiny sunglasses? Also, try the One Piece collaboration for the D’Lites 2 for a pop of color and personality! I actually have my eyes on the D’Lites 3.0 which haven’t been released yet but were styled fashionably for High Snobriety.

Another brand in the bulky sneaker business is Fila. Their showy shoe collection is called Disrupter- coming in your basic black & white, with pink and metallic versions added in.

Disrupter 2 Metallic Premium ($90); Disrupter 2 Premium Repeat ($65)

Predictably, everyone’s favorite street style retailer, Zara, has a similar version as well. The brand has opted for some neutral colorways as well as the famed primary colored style of the Triple S.

Contrasting Sneakers ($69.90); Fashion Sneakers ($69.90)
Meanwhile, if you want a more exact version of the Triple S, you can always turn to Steve Madden who is known to make every trendy designer shoe style “more accessible” by putting out one at a similar price. Check out the similarities below. Happy shopping!

Steve Madden Memory ($99.95); Steve Madden Nassau ($99.95)

Balenciaga Triple S ($895)
